Can you solve this riddle?

A man walked into a building with 4 elevators. He walked up to an elevator and he pressed the button. It was out of order. He went to another elevator and it already said out of order so he didn't take it. He went to another elevator and he pressed the button and nothing happened. He asked the manager what was wrong with the elevator and he said its out of order. So the man decided to take the 30 flights of stairs. When he got up nobody was sweating like he was. Why?
