Can you solve this riddle?

An explorer in the arctic circle stumbles across a glacier of ice with a man perfectly preserved in the ice. After studying the iceman for a few moments the explorer comes to the conclusion that the iceman is in fact Adam(as in the first man that God created).

How did the man know that this was true?
